Giovani Rodriguez Martinez

Associate Wealth Advisor

At Private Wealth Asset Management, Giovani contributes to delivering comprehensive, client-centered financial planning with an emphasis on tax strategy, retirement planning and holistic wealth management. Leveraging his background as a CPA and his doctoral training in financial planning, he helps translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable strategies for clients.

In his community, Giovani serves as a volunteer at his local church, Mid-Cities, where he leads a group of men in their faith journey. Each year, he and his family also volunteer with nonprofit organizations that serve their local community. In the past, he served as President of two Toastmasters clubs: the Robert Barnhill PFP Club and the Eloquent Raiders Club.

Outside of work, Giovani enjoys investing in his personal and spiritual growth and spending quality time with his family—especially grilling NY steaks, burgers, and Mexican-seasoned skirt steaks. He also stays engaged in financial education by reading and occasionally sharing insights that help others improve their financial well-being.

What quality/qualities make you stand out to your clients or coworkers?

I believe what sets me apart is my ability to combine technical depth with clear and thoughtful communication. Clients and colleagues know they can rely on me to analyze complex financial situations—especially from a tax and planning perspective—and then translate those insights into practical, easy-to-understand recommendations.

Where are you from? Where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

What are your hobbies or favorite things to do in your free time?

Mountain biking, reading and role-playing with my daughter.

Favorite TV show, movie, or band?

Favorite Show: The Mentalist.

What motivates you or makes you happiest in your role?

I find fulfillment in guiding clients to become better stewards of their resources and aligning their financial plans with their long-term goals and values.

Where is the coolest place you’ve ever visited, or want to visit?

Excluding my hometown of Puerto Rico, the coolest place I have ever visited is San José, Costa Rica. However, I would also like to visit Okinawa, Japan, to honor the memories my grandfather Juan shared with me about his experience in the Korean War.

Favorite Food?

My favorite meal in Texas is smoked brisket with a loaded baked potato and coleslaw.
